About Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT)

Hutchison Ports KICT has been Pakistan’s leading container terminal since its establishment in 1998. Situated in the Port of Karachi, to the west of the Indus Delta on the Arabian Sea, Hutchison Ports KICT possesses three berths equipped with state-of-the-art container-handling facilities.

CK Hutchison Holdings Limited’s port and related services division is represented by Hutchison Ports KICT. It holds the position as the world’s top port investor, developer, and operator, with interests in 53 ports that encompass 283 operational berths across 27 countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Americas, and Australasia.

Over time, Hutchison Ports has diversified its operations to include other logistics and transportation-related ventures, such as cruise ship terminals, airport operations, distribution centers, rail services, and ship repair facilities.

In 2020, a combined throughput of 83.7 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) was handled by Hutchison Ports.
